Microsoft discuss product design connecting IoT and Aras
Simon Floyd (Microsoft) explains how connecting PLM with IoT data can improve product design. Product development engineers are challenged with 'designing IoT into the product offering' from the start, to deliver new experiences, capabilities and value propositions, and trying to figure out how this can be accomplished.
Simon says "one of the most difficult problems for engineers to solve is how to effectively integrate data streams from IoT enabled systems into the product development process and into the product lifecycle management platform so they can be made actionable and truly drive innovation."
His presentation shows how together, Aras on Microsoft Azure and the Azure IoT Suite, can be combined to help address the challenges product developers face today.
