NEW TECHNOLOGY-Simple migration Teamcenter to Aras

Seems like every day Aras get calls from Teamcenter users who are tired of dealing with the limitations & complexity of the Teamcenter environment and are longing for the freedom and flexibility Aras provides. If that sounds familiar, fear not. Migrating from Teamcenter to Aras is not as complicated as you might think.

Watch this short video and find out how one Nidec Motor Corporation migrated 215,000 TC item masters representing 290,000 total item revisions and 320,000 files in just 134 days. And they did it with zero, yes zero, differences.

And if you want to know more, check out this on-demand webcast to learn about migrating your Teamcenter environment.

SUCCESS STORY-Sawrey solve complex/irregular models

Sawrey Consulting Engineers is a growing structural engineering consultancy with a focus on earthquake engineering, structural and seismic design, the assessment and seismic retrofit of buildings, and building parts and components.

Read about how Sawrey Consulting Engineers, together with Matrix Applied Computing, used Bentley Staad.Pro to overcome the challenge of modeling and analysing a complex and irregular building structure.

SUCCESS STORY-Springfree use FEA to optimise component

Springfree Trampolines design and manufacture a unique type of trampoline that doesn't require traditional metal springs.  They needed to determine the stresses on one element of their unique design during operation and the effect of any design changes on their load bearing capacity.

Read how Springfree Trampolines and Matrix used FEA modelling to test, analyse and ultimately optimise a key component of the unique design.

TRAIN/UPSKILL-AutoPIPE Fundamentals/Advanced in AKL

AutoPIPE Fundamentals, 14-15 October

Designed for Plant & Structural Engineers, & both new & existing AutoPIPE users. Acquire knowledge about stress analysis and begin using Bentley AutoPIPE successfully on a project, learning how to model and solve stress analysis problems.  Skills taught:

  • AutoPIPE capabilities and new enhancements
  • Supported piping codes
  • Creating piping segments, adding bends, tees and length units
  • Using keyboard commands
  • Basic model building including anchors, supports and expansion loops
  • Defining pumps and pump reports
  • Using the copy, paste and rotate operations
  • Using wind, earthquake and nonlinear analysis
  • Modeling nozzle flexibility, cut short and trunnion supports
  • Modeling flexible joints, short radius elbows and elbows with larger pipe thickness
  • Reviewing a model for piping codes, causes of overstress, supports and loops

AutoPIPE Advanced, 16-17 October

Build on your fundamental knowledge of AutoPIPE and learn how to determine the stress level and interaction of pressure loads on a pipe after adding various components.  Skills taught include:

  • Modeling the following components: vessels, nozzles, valves, expansion joints, spacer supports, reducer components, elbows, miters, bends, tees, frames, pipe supports
  • Performing a nonlinear analysis and analyzing load sequences
  • Performing a dynamic analysis to capture pipe and structural interaction
  • Analyzing fluid transients on a single pipeline due to valve closures, pump shutdowns, flow changes, etc.
  • Analyzing submerged pipe and determining the force on piping systems due to water interaction
