The Yida Photography examines the crisis in Sudan through lives of those who have escaped. The 313 breathtaking images featured in this traveling exhibit are part of a collection of 4,535 photos taken in Yida Refugee Camp  by Operation Broken Silence's photographers. This showing is free and open to the public.

Has your parent or guardian been an inspiration to you? Do you think they deserve an award for everything they have done for you? If so, then nominate them for Parent of the Year! The University of Memphis Alumni Association invites students to nominate parents or guardians whose lives have been an inspiration to their students and others as Parent of the Year. All parents who are nominated by their student will receive a congratulatory letter and a copy of the essay submission. Nominations are due by Tuesday, September 5 at 4:00 pm.

The U of M Tiger Bike Share Program has move to the Hudson (Student) Health Center, room 108. We have a fleet of 80 bicycles avaliable for U of M students to rent for 2 weeks at a time and for only $35 a semester! Become a Tiger Bike member to save on gas, avoid the hassle of parking and help reduce our carbon footprint! Already have a bicycle? Our Tiger Bike Shop offers free tune-ups and maintenance to U of M student's personal bicycles too! The University of Memphis new comprehensive personal safety app and can be downloaded for free. This app allows you to recieve instant alerts from Police Services and replaces the Tigertext service, which will end August 31st, 2017. Additionally, it provides a quick, convenient and discreet way to communicate directly with Police Services.
